Little Harp is a 17th century stone cottage surrounded by gardens, sitting on a ridge overlooking the beautiful Radnor Valley. Its neighbours in the small village of Old Radnor are sheep fields, a fine church and the famous Harp Inn, recently named the Best Country Pub in the UK by The Good Pub Guide 2020.
It sleeps five (three bedrooms) and is dog-friendly. Although we welcome families, please note that there are a few features of the house which are not ideal for small children (wood burning stoves, steep stairs without bannisters and a bit of a drop in the garden).
There is Wi-Fi, a smart TV and central heating (as well as two wood burning stoves).
Notable features include an exceptional collection of 20th century art and furniture, cosy wood burning stoves, flag stone floors, Egyptian cotton bed linen, king size bed in master bedroom and private parking. The cottage was recently refurbished by Harp Studio, a locally based design studio.
It is close to the popular towns of Presteigne (6 miles) and Hay-on-Wye (15 miles) and with incredible walks nearby including the Offa’s Dyke Path. Old Radnor is a great base for one of the area’s many renowned festivals including the Hay Festival, HowTheLightGetsIn, Borderlines Film Festival and the Kington Walking Festival.
Our toiletries are provided by Myddfai, a wonderful Welsh social enterprise that works with adults with learning difficulties to produce amazing paraben and cruelty-free soaps and lotions. We try to get as much of our cleaning products as possible from Planet B in Kington, a specialist in refills and environmentally-friendly goods.

“We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely house in a lovely location! The house has a real character, with wonderful views from every window. It’s in a secluded location but also very near to a fantastic country pub.” Greg, Surrey
“Had a great time, lovely cottage, loved how all the rooms open up to the garden. Did a lot of walking, some horse-riding, sight-seeing the beautiful area, drinking and eating… Great kitchen to be cooking in, wanted to pack it up into my suitcase! We all had a great time, even my 17yr old son!” Jacqui, Essex
